The Autocar Drivers of Change 2025 has named Dacia UK Brand Director, Luke Broad, as someone in the British car industry who is driving change and promoting diversity in their business.
The initiative champions the automotive industry as a place that welcomes everybody and celebrates the diverse talent that works within it. Those who are named are individuals who are driving change and promoting diversity in their business in whichever role they perform.
Describing why Luke was named, Autocar’s Editor, Mark Tisshaw explained: “All judges were impressed with Luke’s admirable commitment to ED&I and the leading role he has played in the Renault Group in this space over a number of years. He has a proven track record of driving change within his organisation and has made it a personal mission to ensure everyone can feel accepted. His day job is a busy one, yet he has taken the time to organise ED&I events and speakers that really engage his colleagues. He is exactly what this initiative is all about.”
Luke has worked in several different parts of the Renault Group. After an internship in 2010, Luke joined as a graduate and quickly progressed to senior positions in sales and marketing before being promoted to his current position at Dacia in 2021. Throughout his career, he has introduced annual Pride celebrations, invited guest speakers to present to the business, spearheaded ED&I meetings with staff whilst co-developing the strategy with HR, and mentored female talent, meeting with them regularly and, more importantly, learned from them too.
Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK commented: “Obviously, I am feeling very humbled to be named as an Autocar Driver of Change. I love working in the car industry, but it’s not just because of the cars, it’s also the people who are passionate about it. It is important everyone has the same opportunity to enjoy a career in this exciting sector and be treated equally. I champion this mindset at Dacia, and across the Renault Group.”
