An understated world champion
Certainly the Australian Grand Prix he didn’t smile at McLaren and others Lando Norriswho qualified sixth and finished fifth at the finish line, trailing by 51 seconds by the winner George Russell, which also has the same engine as the papaya cars.
Norris has never been in the fight for victory in Melbourne and indeed, the large gap seen in the race does not authorize flights of optimism in Woking.
Norris highlights Ferrari
After the race, Lando Norris a Sky Deutschland wanted to praise the goodness of the SF-26: “In my opinion, from what we are seeing, Ferrari clearly has the better car. Their cornering speeds are incredible. At the moment we don’t have any chance of matching them, and we have to work hard to understand things and learn as much as we can.”
Norris is clear in assessing the current potential of his McLaren: “We are at least five or six tenths of a second per lap slower” and even harsher on the new regulation: “I find everything very artificial and depends on what the power unit decides, sometimes randomly. We did our best, but we are very far away.”
