The positive memory of Miami It’s time to return to action for the Formula 1 teams and drivers, who will battle for the first time this weekend after a month of forced stoppage due to the conflict in the Middle East. The stage will be the Miami street circuit, where last year Williams was the protagonist of an excellent result: in addition to Carlos Sainz’s 9th place, he did even better than the Spaniard Alex Albon, even 5th under the checkered flag. The right opportunity This year, however, the start of the season has proven to be quite complex for the historic house of Grove, which will try to get back on its feet starting from Miami after three negative races, closed with only Sainz finishing in the points in 9th place in China: “I’m ready to get back in the car after this early break which has given us the opportunity to review the start of the season and make up ground on some aspects that we want to improve – declared the former Ferrari driver – a big thank you to the Grove team for the efforts made in the last few weeks. There will still be a lot of work to do during the season, but this is a crucial moment to start catching up, with a mix of high and low speed elements and rapid changes of direction that reward the determination. Points zone never reached so far by Albon, who will want to interrupt this negative streak of results on the very circuit where he was a protagonist last season: “It’s exciting to be back in Miami after the early break. The team has worked hard in the factory and it will be nice to get back on track and test what we’ve worked on in recent weeks. The changes to the regulations introduced by the FIA will add a further element of complexity to the Sprint weekend, so I’m happy that FP1 has been extended to give us a better opportunity to understand the changes. This weekend will be decisive for whoever manages to master everything faster, so it promises to be an interesting race.”
