Mercedes still ahead in China
It’s the ideal Saturday for Mercedes and for Toto Wolff. After the victory in the Sprint, the qualifications in Shanghai confirmed the clear supremacy of the W17 at least on the flying lap: in three battles for pole position the Brackley team has always monopolized the front row.
In China Kimi Antonelli he conquered the first pole position of his very promising career, putting Italy back in front of everyone on the grid after 17 years and becoming the youngest poleman in history. A very important achievement for Wolff’s protégé, but the Austrian can also rejoice for George’s performance Russell (second despite problems with the power unit and in the preparation of the push lap) and finds a way to smile for Lewis’s Hamiltonwith whom he shared the golden era of his team.

Tomorrow the Brackley team will look for their second victory in the first two GPs.
