Max Verstappen returns to the Ring We’re here now: Max Verstappen is preparing to take to the track at the Nurburgring Nordschleife for the new – double – event on the NLS calendar, the German GT and touring racing category that organizes various events throughout the year, always and only on the legendary Green Hell. The four-time Formula 1 world champion takes to the track with the now “usual” Mercedes-AMG GT3 to aim for overall victory, challenging a large group of professional drivers from covered-wheel endurance races, as well as true specialists who almost always compete only at the Ring throughout the year. The live streaming of race 1. Find below the video boxes to follow the race live both with the official streaming of the event – with commentary in English – and from the on-board camera positioned on Max Verstappen’s Mercedes number 3: the advice is to press play on both videos while remaining on this page, so as to be able to follow both live broadcasts at the same time. The connection starts around 8.30 in the morning today, Saturday 18 April, with qualifying that decides the starting grid and the start of the first 4-hour race of the weekend, scheduled for 5.30pm (with arrival, well after sunset, at 9.30pm). The car, which the Dutchman shares with his partner Lucas Auer, is put on the track by the Verstappen.com Racing team and competes with the classic Red Bull colours, showing off a bright blue livery that recalls the single-seaters from Milton Keynes involved in Formula 1. After hundreds of laps on the simulator, the champion is already making his fourth real appearance at the Nurburgring Nordschleife: in the autumn of 2025 he first competed with a Porsche Cayman GT4 to take the license, and then won at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3; this year, at the end of March, he instead competed and won with the same Mercedes-AMG GT3 used today, only to be disqualified at the end of the event for an irregularity in the number of sets of tires used over the weekend. Tomorrow, Sunday 19 April, Max Verstappen will give an encore from 1pm to 5pm.
