The official note from the Brembo group Charles Leclerc blamed the brakes for the accident in the Monaco GP and anticipated that Ferrari has the solution at home and that Lewis Hamilton has been following this path for three races. Below is the official note from the Brembo Group on what happened to Leclerc and what the Ferrari driver declared. “The Brembo Group is very surprised by the statements made by Charles Leclerc following the Monaco Grand Prix”. The partnership between Brembo and Scuderia Ferrari has continued for over 50 years and also extends to other brands of the Group, such as AP Racing clutches and Öhlins shock absorbers, confirming the solidity and breadth of the collaboration. The company does not currently know the causes of the problems encountered by Charles Leclerc and therefore believes it is premature to formulate definitive technical assessments before analyzing the available data. In cases like this it is in fact necessary to examine the telemetry data together with the team’s engineers to precisely identify the origin of the episode. Brembo is today a point of reference for Formula 1 and is present on all single-seaters with its own braking technologies. Over the years, the World Championship teams have continued to choose Brembo solutions, recognizing their reliability, innovation and performance at the highest levels. The Group will continue to invest in innovation, reliability and performance, continuing its collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari and all the other Formula 1 teams.”
