The look of Haas in Japan
The Japanese Grand Prix represents a special event not only as regards the history of Formula 1, but also for various teams who, on the occasion of the various Japanese weekends, have decided to create special liveriesjust like this year. The examples for 2026 are those of Racing Bulls, Mercedes (at least for the front wing only) but also and above all Haaswhich will take to the track with the look of the two VF-26s dedicated to Godzilla.
The Haas moment
An initiative that the American team will want to celebrate together with other positive results which have so far allowed the team to reach fourth position in the Constructors’ standings, all thanks to the performances of Oliver Bearman. The Briton in fact reached seventh position in Australia, but above all fifth in the last race in China, as well as an extra point in the Shanghai Sprint. The main objective will obviously be to finish in the points for the third consecutive time, all at the wheel of a ‘Godzilla’ single-seater and in front of its Team Principal Ayao Komatsu, of Japanese nationality: “I love that Japan is another ‘home’ race for the TGR Haas F1 Team – explained Bearman – it’s a spectacular city, the fans are very passionate and for the second consecutive year we will show off a truly special livery. I think the partnership with Godzilla is something only Haas could do, we do things our way and it’s truly something unique. Looking at the circuit, it is one of the best in the world. It’s fast, fluid and requires precision. The VF-26 has proven to be a consistent car in the first two races and the start to this season has been fantastic. We need to keep this momentum going until April, this team is doing great things right now and we need to demonstrate the fruit of their hard work on the track“.
Who will also want to join the party is without a doubt Esteban Oconstill without points in the championship and responsible for the contact with Colapinto in the last race in China: “I’m really excited to return to wonderful Japan and race at Suzuka this weekend. The fans in Japan are always fantastic and for me Suzuka is the best circuit on the calendar. The first sector, very fast and flowing, is one of the best corner combinations ever. It’s an old school track where I’ve had good results in the pastso I can’t wait to get back on track. I know there will be lots of fans cheering for the TGR Haas F1 Team. We also have a fantastic partnership and Godzilla-themed livery this week, so we hope to build on this over the course of the weekend and return home on Sunday night with a good haul of points for the team.”
