Hyundai Motor has been shortlisted for three awards in this year’s World Car Awards, including:

• World Car of the Year (overall victory)

• World Urban Car

• World Electric Vehicle

What World Car Awards has Hyundai Motor previously won?

The brand has performed consistently strongly over the last three years at the World Car Awards. In 2024, Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was crowned World Performance Car, while both IONIQ 6 and IONIQ 5 took a hattrick of titles in 2023 and 2022 respectively, taking victories in the following categories:

• World Car of the Year

• World Electric Vehicle

• World Car Design of the Year

A jury of 96 international automotive journalists from 30 countries selected the finalists through a sealed ballot. The winners will be announced at the 2025 New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025.
