Honda Unveils Extreme Passport TrailSport HRC Concept for Overlanding Events

Çok Okunanlar
Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) is pushing deeper into the booming overlanding and off-road market with the debut of the rugged 2026 Passport TrailSport HRC Concept, a heavily modified adventure SUV designed to showcase the brand’s expanding performance ambitions beyond traditional motorsport.
The concept vehicle will headline Honda’s presence at six major overlanding events across the United States, beginning with Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, where HRC appears as a title sponsor from 15–17 May.

Based on the upcoming 2026 Honda Passport, the TrailSport HRC Concept transforms the production SUV into a purpose-built off-road machine featuring extensive upgrades to performance, protection, utility and expedition capability.
Honda said the project demonstrates how HRC’s racing expertise could influence future adventure-focused vehicles and accessories.
Rob Ray, General Manager of Performance Parts at HRC US, said the concept explores how Honda’s motorsport engineering can be adapted for off-road and overlanding enthusiasts seeking greater capability and durability.
Originally revealed at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the concept receives a wide range of mechanical and functional enhancements designed specifically for demanding terrain.
Among the most significant upgrades are redesigned front and rear bumpers to improve approach and departure angles, reinforced aluminium skid plates for underbody protection, revised suspension dampers and a bespoke exhaust system. The SUV also gains a 60mm suspension lift and larger tyres to increase ground clearance during off-road driving.
Practical overlanding additions include widened rock sliders, a swing-out full-size spare wheel carrier, an integrated rear air compressor and an 8,000lb winch.
Lighting technology forms a major part of the build, with the Passport fitted with upgraded fog lamps, roof-mounted light bars, side camp lights, ditch lights and rear chase lighting. All systems are controlled through a custom multi-zone lighting setup developed by HRC.
To reinforce its long-distance expedition credentials, the concept also features a low-profile roof rack with side canopy integration and a rooftop tent.
Inside, the cabin receives bespoke HRC blue Alcantara trim, exclusive branding, additional accessory mounting panels and an integrated refrigerator aimed at enhancing extended outdoor travel.
The exterior is finished in matte Thermal Orange with a contrasting black roof and rides on prototype off-road wheels, giving the SUV a far more aggressive visual identity than the standard Passport.
Honda will also display a range of powersports products and exclusive HRC merchandise throughout the overlanding tour as it looks to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing adventure vehicle segment.
