London, May 2026 – CHERY UK has helped Soccer Aid for UNICEF stars kick off Training Week in style, with talent and footballing icons arriving in Chery TIGGO 9s, as preparations get underway for this Sunday’s landmark 20th anniversary match at London Stadium.
Taking place from Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 May, Training Week brings together stars from the world of entertainment and legends of the game as England and the World XI prepare to go head-to-head in one of the UK’s most-watched charity sporting events.

Upon arrival at Training Week, players were greeted by Chery’s AiMOGA humanoid – an advanced robot developed inhouse, which can perform intricate, human-like tasks and uses an intelligent computing brain powered by DeepSeek AI models.

Among the talent arriving at training in the Chery TIGGO 9 were Tom Hiddlestone, Olly Murs, Danny Dyer, Molly McCann, Tom Grennan, Chloe Burrows, Jill Scott, and Jack Whitehall, with the seven-seat SUV supporting player movements throughout the build-up to Match Day.

The Chery TIGGO 9 is the brand’s flagship SUV, combining seven-seat practicality, confident road presence, premium comfort and advanced technology – underpinned by the Chery Super Hybrid powertrain. Its role throughout Soccer Aid Training Week places it at the heart of a major sporting and entertainment moment, helping stars arrive ready for the final countdown to kick-off.

Olly Murs: Into The Unknown
Also arriving at training was Soccer Aid veteran Olly Murs, fresh from completing his epic Into The Unknown challenge for Soccer Aid for UNICEF. Over five relentless days, Olly ran, rowed and cycled 400km from Manchester’s Old Trafford – where Soccer Aid first kicked off two decades ag – to London Stadium, home of this year’s match. The challenge has already raised an incredible £832,257 so far, with Chery supporting the effort as one of Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s partners.
After setting off at 5am on the final day, Olly cycled from St Albans, through Barnet and Hampstead, before heading to London’s West End, then running past Trafalgar Square, along the Thames and past the Tower of London before finishing at London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
CHERY at Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2026
Chery’s support forms part of its involvement with Soccer Aid for UNICEF, as the brand helps build excitement throughout the week and into Match Day itself.
On Sunday, Chery will also be bringing the fun to London Stadium with a series of activations for fans in and around the match. Outside of the stadium, fans can get in on the action in the Chery Happy Arena – taking part in their own football match, and putting them in the shoes of Soccer Aid 2026’s player squad. Inside the stadium, the Chery Clubhouse hospitality area will host invited guests in the build up to kick-off.
Farrell Hsu, Managing Director of CHERY UK, said: Soccer Aid for UNICEF is a brilliant celebration of football, entertainment and people coming together for an incredibly important cause. We’re proud to support the stars during Training Week with the Chery TIGGO 9, and to have played a role in Olly’s remarkable Into The Unknown challenge as he completed his 400km journey to London Stadium.
“Training Week is where the anticipation really starts to build, and we’re excited to help bring that energy to fans throughout the week and on Match Day this Sunday.”
Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2026 takes place at London Stadium on Sunday 31 May and will be broadcast live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Over the last 20 years, Soccer Aid for UNICEF has raised more than £121 million to support UNICEF’s work helping children grow up safe, healthy and able to play.
