The thrill of competition returns to the Coppa delle Alpi, a winter regularity race organised by 1000 Miglia which, with its 900 kilometres through the Alpine passes, will officially inaugurate the Italian Major Events Championship from 12 to 16 March 2025. The excitement of the race has never been lacking. After the unicum of the 2024 edition, dedicated to the ambitious project of The Great Alpine Journey in support of the communities in the macro-region of the same name, the sporting part will once again be the beating heart of the event, together with the discovery of an territory that is as fascinating as it is challenging to cross, due to the harsh climate and rugged terrain.
The Coppa delle Alpi embodies the bold, free and gritty spirit of the Red Arrow, a true 1000 Miglia Style challenge. Hence the decision to start from Brescia, the City of the 1000 Miglia, which in the early afternoon of Wednesday 12 March will host the technical and administrative checks in the streets of the city centre. This will be followed by the very first edition of the Città di Brescia Trophy, an exciting 1 vs 1 knockout challenge that will bring the city centre to life.
The crews will face 80 Time Trials and 6 Average Trials along a route that will wind through 11 Alpine passes and will cross the borders of Switzerland, Austria and Italy in 3 legs. After the start in Brescia, St. Moritz and Bressanone will host the leg finishes, with the final finish line on the Tonale Pass.
Before the prize-giving ceremony, which will take place at high altitude in the splendid setting of the Presena Glacier, there will also be space for a fun driving experience on the snow on the Val di Sole Ice Track, with trials valid for the awarding of the Ponte di Legno Trophy.
The winners of the 2025 Coppa delle Alpi will also receive 7 Admission Guarantees to the 1000 Miglia 2026.
The deadline for formalising the entry is 4 p.m. on Friday 7 February 2025. Cars built before 1990 will be accepted for the event and confirmation of acceptance will be communicated by 14 February.
