London, 7 May 2026 – OMODA&JAECOO UK has confirmed that two of its senior leaders will take speaker roles at the 2026 FT Future of the Car Summit, the Financial Times’ annual gathering of global automotive decision-makers. Now in its 12th year, the Summit returns to London next week from 12-14 May 2026 and is widely regarded as one of the industry’s most influential meeting points.
The Future of the Car Summit brings together senior leaders from across the global automotive ecosystem, including OEMs, suppliers, investors and technology partners, for three days of live, news-led discussion. Through on-stage interviews, panels and discussions, the event explores how manufacturers are positioning themselves for long-term success, with a focus on investment, innovation and the evolving needs of global markets.
Gary Lan, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO UK, will return to the Summit as a speaker for the second consecutive year, taking part in a Fireside Chat with the FT’s industry editor Kana Inagaki. Since his appointment in February 2025, Lan has led OMODA&JAECOO UK through a period of rapid growth, ending 2025 with a combined market share of 2.38%* and with JAECOO UK becoming the fastest-growing automotive brand the UK has seen in the past decade. Reflecting on his momentum, Lan will discuss everything from the brand house’s growth, which currently sits at nearly 5%*, AiMOGA humanoid and dog robots, its foundation in localisation and direct-to-consumer retailer network, as well as updates on the wider business functions.
Commenting on his return to the Summit, Gary Lan, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO UK, said: “Events like the FT Future of the Car Summit play an important role in bringing together leaders who are actively shaping the industry. The past year has been transformational for OMODA&JAECOO UK, and it’s valuable to be part of open, informed conversations with peers about how the sector continues to evolve.”
Also representing the brand on stage, Oliver Lowe, Head of Product at OMODA&JAECOO UK, will speak in a spotlight session titled The Rise of Chinese EV Brands in Europe. Drawing on his experience across product and related strategy, Lowe’s session will explore how new entrants are influencing the European market, and what it takes for OEMs to build credibility and long-term success in the UK through the right balance of product mix, pricing, technology and everyday usability.
Oliver Lowe, Head of Product at OMODA&JAECOO UK, added: “The European market is changing quickly, and Chinese brands are now a meaningful part of that conversation. Our forum discussion is about being clear on what consumers really want today from a vehicle, and how manufacturers can design, price and position products that genuinely fit the realities and expectations of the UK and European market.”
OMODA&JAECOO UK’s participation at the 2026 Summit reflects its growing role in wider industry dialogue, as it continues to grow its presence and build momentum in the UK market and contribute to discussions shaping the next chapter of global automotive development.
