Updates approved The Sprint Qualifying of the Canadian GP saw a great performance from the VCARB and in particular from the rookie Arvid Lindblad, who on his first outing on the Montreal track had the luxury of entering SQ3 and qualifying in ninth position, the ‘best of the rest’ behind the unattainable four top teams. A result that is the result of the talent of the English debutant but also of the updates brought by the Faenza team which, evidently, worked rather well. “I’m happy with our Sprint qualifying today. The pace was better than expected and the team did a fantastic job – commented Lindblad at the end of the day – we brought a new update this weekend and it’s clearly working well. It’s a difficult circuit to tackle for a rookie, especially in a Sprint weekend, so I’m really happy with our performance, even if there was still a bit of margin to exploit in SQ3. With all the interruptions in FP1, no one managed to complete a real long run, so it’s difficult to know exactly how things will go tomorrow. Tire degradation will definitely be a factor, but tomorrow should be fun and I’m ready to give it my all.”
