Hamilton promotes 2026 F1 racing
Lewis Hamilton already in China he had underlined that he had a lot of fun dueling with Charles Leclerc and that at the moment this generation of cars is giving him the best ‘racing’ he has ever experienced during his career.
The Ferrari driver reiterated the concept on the eve of the weekend in Japan, criticizing those who coined the term ‘Yo-Yo Formula‘ to criticize the fact that one overtaking immediately corresponds to another through the alternating use of the battery, a back and forth that ultimately changes nothing since the one who is overtaken then regains his position.
“The battle with Leclerc in China reminded me of the one with Nico Rosberg in Bahrainfew times have I had so much fun behind the wheel – Hamilton’s words – races have to be like this, you pass and the other can pass you again, whereas before, once the overtaking was completed the duel ended immediately. I don’t know who came up with the ‘Yo-Yo Formula’, in go-karts the races are all about overtaking and counter-overtaking and nobody talks about Yo-Yo, it’s simply racing”.
