The big event is almost here. F1 continues to race slowly at the start of the season between races that could not be held and a calendar that includes two weekend breaks between the Miami stage and the one in Canada. Max Verstappen took advantage of this ‘hole’ to register for the 24th of the Nurburgring scheduled for Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May. The four-time F1 champion will race in a Mercedes together with Lucas Auer, Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon. Juan Pablo Montoya underlined that if he were in the shoes of Ford’s number one he would certainly not look favorably on Verstappen’s ‘betrayal’ in the GT3 world: “If I were Red Bull and Ford, I would put pressure so that Max didn’t drive a Mercedes, but a Ford GT3 or something like that – said Montoya reached by Betpack – if I were the big boss of Ford, I wouldn’t be happy with him racing with Mercedes and advertising for Mercedes”.
