Ferrari: Hamilton and Leclerc, diametrically opposed In the Canadian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton achieved the best result of his experience at Ferrari, finishing second behind the winner Andrea Kimi Antonelli on Mercedes. The English champion did not hide his satisfaction with the entire weekend in Montreal and with the work done with the engineers.
On the other side of the garage, however, completely different sensations for Charles Leclerc, fourth at the finish line but a little lost, given that in interviews he did not hesitate to define the one in Quebec as “the worst weekend of his career”. Smedley and Leclerc’s thoughts During the High Performance podcast, Rob Smedley – English engineer at Ferrari from 2004 to 2013 – underlined the difficulties experienced by Charles Leclerc: “Hamilton always did special things in Montreal and was faster than Charles. And it got into Charles’ head, because suddenly he started saying that he was having the worst weekend of his career in Formula 1”. For Smedley the reason for this thought by Leclerc it’s just the result: “If Lewis had been three places behind him, he wouldn’t have made that type of reasoning and Charles wouldn’t have talked about the last week as the worst of his career.”
But on Sunday it’s already time for the Monaco GP, Leclerc’s home race: Frederic Vasseur has already assured: “Charles in Monte Carlo won’t even remember what happened in Montreal.” Click here to add Formula Passion as your favorite source on Google Discover: you will find our content more easily!
