McLaren hasn’t even started the Chinese GP
Disastrous Sunday for McLaren in China. The Woking team did not start with either car.
Lando Norris he had problems well before the start – with the control unit from what we can see – Oscar Piastri, on the other hand, was brought back to the pits when he was lined up on the starting grid.
“We had a problem that had never happened before – Norris said to the microphones of Sky – that’s why we didn’t know how to solve it. We’ll see if after we’ve done the analysis we’ll come to any conclusions about what happened.”
It was a Sunday to forget in general for the latest world champions because also Max Verstappen he was forced to retire while in sixth position and unable to attack even Oliver Bearman’s Haas. McLaren and Red Bull, at the moment, are very far from Mercedes and Ferrari.
