The attack occurred on Tuesday morning, when a gang of masked criminals broke into the Prost family property at 8.30am. Alain Prost was attacked and suffered a head injury in the scuffle, with the criminals threatening the rest of the family, forcing one of the children to open the home safe. Once the alarm was raised, a vast manhunt was unleashed which has so far brought no results and it cannot be ruled out that the criminals may have fled across the border. According to Blick, Prost is currently returning to Dubai, where he lives for most of the year.
Villa robberies are on the rise in the Lake Geneva region, with 18 cases recorded in 2025 alone, with highly organized cross-border criminal gangs targeting owners of luxury watches.
