How scary
The team Racing Bulls experienced a two-sided weekend in Melbourne. On the one hand there was the fantastic points finish of Arvid Lindbland, capable of moving the championship standings in his first race ever in F1; on the other hand, however, in Faenza we had to deal with the 13th place obtained by Liam Lawson, also penalized by a disastrous start which saw him remain planted on the grid and being dodged by millimeters by Franco Colapinto’s Alpine. Without the Argentine’s quick reflexes, today we would be talking about a catastrophic and potentially very dangerous accident at the start of the first race of the season.
Problem solved, and updates…
Presenting the Shanghai trip, the Racing Bulls team principal, Alan Permanereturned to what happened in Melbourne and assured that the team understood the reason for the problem and worked hard to resolve it. “We analyzed Liam’s departure problem last week and we fully understand the cause, we are confident that it will never recur – commented the English manager – this week in Shanghai we are faced with a very different challenge, a Sprint weekend. We will only have one free practice session to test the cars and engines, but with our colleagues at Red Bull Ford Powertrains I am sure we will be well prepared. We worked a lot on the simulator”.
