Tost: “Health permitting, Newey will design a viable Aston Martin for 2027”

And one of Aston Martin’s innovations in view of 2026 was to be the role of team principal assumed by Adrian Newey. But the brilliant British designer has not been seen on the track since March 8th and rumors have spread regarding his possible health problem, which have not been confirmed by the team. Franz Tost, former team principal of Toro Rosso, addressed these issues in the 15 Love – Der Business podcast: “Adrian Newey joined Aston Martin very late. I think he didn’t start before last April and for a project of this scale it’s not ideal. There’s still a lot to sort out, but if his health allows him, he will be able to design a valid car for 2027. I’m convinced of it.”
