Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) has showcased more than 60 vehicles across Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Škoda and Cupra to over 100 fleet and government guests at a two-day Fleet Day event in Melbourne.
Held at Calder Park, the showcase let fleet customers, rental companies, conversion partners and public-sector buyers test drive everything from hatches and sedans to SUVs, people movers, vans and a ute. VGA also highlighted local partnerships, including Walkinshaw ahead of the 2026 Amarok W, the Crafter Kampervan by Jayco, vans with shelving solutions, and an Amarok fitted with a rear tray, upgraded suspension and frontal protection.
The line-up spanned efficient turbocharged ICE models and a growing battery-electric range, alongside plug-in hybrids that will expand from 2026. Five PHEVs were available to drive, including first local drives of the Škoda Kodiaq and Superb plug-ins (both claiming more than 100km WLTP electric range), the Cupra Leon VZe Sportstourer and Volkswagen’s Touareg R.
A large BEV contingent featured the all-new fully electric Volkswagen Transporter in its first public appearance, the ID. Buzz Cargo and ID. Buzz Pro and GTX, ID.4 Pro and ID.5 GTX; Audi’s Q4 45 e-tron, Q6 e-tron quattro and S e-tron GT; the Cupra Tavascan; and Škoda’s Elroq Select and Enyaq SUV Sportline.
“Across the Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Škoda and CUPRA brands, we are bringing fleet customers the latest innovations, the most flexible solutions, and great ownership for their business,” VGA managing director Karsten Seifert says.
“Fleet Day is designed to bring together our closest partners, introduce businesses to our offerings, and demonstrate the unrivalled range of models that we have on sale today in ICE, PHEV and BEV, from compact to full size, 2 seats to 7.
“VGA is a one-stop shop for mobility solutions. Our customers don’t need to go any further,” he says.
Attendees included representatives from major fleet management organisations and corporates, rental brands such as Hertz and Europcar, government and emergency services, and conversion partners including Autosafe, Pedders and Walkinshaw.
Organisers said the format’s chief appeal was the ability to sample a broad mix of models, powertrains and fit-outs in one place.
