Alpine has announced ambitious plans to expand its range with the introduction of two convertible cars by 2030. Within this strategy, Autocar reports, a roadster version of the new generation of its iconic A110 will be included, together with a fastback GT intended to challenge the Porsche 911. With the aim of building a range of seven exclusively electric models, Alpine is working to innovate and transform its offering, already started with the launch of the sedan A290 sports car and the A390 crossover. Alpine prepares two roadsters by the end of the decade The new A110, which is expected to debut next year, represents an important evolution of the current petrol model, introduced eight years ago. Taking advantage of the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), it will be available in both coupé and roadster versions. This innovative platform will allow motors to be integrated into the wheels, a technology that has already proven its effectiveness on the Renault 5 Turbo 3E. However, final details on its implementation in future Alpine cars remain to be confirmed. Seven electric models expected in the range In addition to the A110, the future GT, expected under the name A310, will use the same APP platform and will be available in versions with both a fixed and folding roof. Although aesthetic details of the A310 are still vague, the design is expected to be similar to that of the new A110, with a futuristic look that distances the brand from retro styling. Finally, in addition to the aforementioned roadster and GT, Alpine is planning a further model, a large D or E segment SUV, expected for 2030.
