Pirelli, tires chosen for Belgium and Hungary The F1 Circus is about to reach Silverstone, but Pirelli has already planned the future by communicating the compounds for the following events, those in Belgium and Hungary. This is the summary of the choices made by Pirelli this season. For the Spa-Francorchamps weekend, scheduled for 17 to 19 July, the three central compounds of the range have been selected: C2, C3 and C4. This is a choice in line with the characteristics of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, one of the most iconic and popular tracks on the entire calendar, which puts the compounds to the test. In fact, from the point of view of stress, it is second only to Silverstone and Suzuka. For the Hungarian Grand Prix, scheduled for 24 to 26 July, Pirelli has therefore gone for the softest trio: C3, C4 and C5. The last round before the summer break sees the Circus go on a track that doesn’t put the tires to the test like the Ardennes, but tire degradation should not be underestimated with the generally very high temperatures in Budapest.
