25th February 2026: MINI is celebrating one of the most iconic moments in its motorsport history with the introduction of the MINI 1965 Victory Edition – a modern tribute to the legendary Mini Cooper S that conquered Monte Carlo in 1965.
Limited to just 30 vehicles for Australia, comprising 20 MINI John Cooper Works and 10 all-electric MINI John Cooper Works models, this exclusive edition will arrive in showrooms in Q2 2026, with pricing to be confirmed closer to market arrival.
In 1965, the classic Mini Cooper S, driven by Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter, claimed overall victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. Praised for its innovative engineering, exceptional agility and remarkable performance in extreme winter conditions, the Cooper S became a defining symbol of MINI’s racing DNA – a spirit that continues to shape the brand today.
The MINI 1965 Victory Edition reinterprets this historic triumph with a contemporary edge, combining heritage design elements with modern performance and craftsmanship.
The edition will be available in two high-performance John Cooper Works variants:
MINI John Cooper Works: powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine delivering 231 hp (170 kW) and 380 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds.
MINI John Cooper Works Electric: delivering up to 258 hp (190 kW), it sprints from 0–100 km/h in an impressive 5.9 seconds, bringing MINI’s motorsport spirit confidently into the electric era.
