The ‘package and a half’ of updates for Miami
The failure to hold the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in April has pushed the Formula 1 teams to review their plans regarding the development of the 2026 single-seaters. The month full of stops between Suzuka and the following race in Miami of the first week of May, will obviously guarantee more development work in the factory, with direct consequences on the machines that we will see in the first American stage of the season.
At home Ferrari The first major update package had been scheduled for the fourth round of the championship, the Grand Prix of Bahrain – originally scheduled for April 12th. The work in Maranello now has a new date circled in red on the calendar, the May 3, for the race Miamifor which there is a concrete hope of bringing forward parts initially thought for the following weeks, with the aim of bringing the ‘a package and a half’ of developments, as told in Shanghai by team principal Frederic Vasseur.
Monza chosen for the Ferrari filming day
Colleagues of AutoRacer.it have revealed that Ferrari – to validate these updates – has chosen to carry out a Monza one of filming day granted by the Federation, with a maximum coverage of 200 km.
The choice of the track hosting the Italian Grand Prix is not random and seems ideal for studying the use of the power unit and the functioning of the electrical part, between battery charging and energy management.
