Red idol Beloved by Ferrari fans and millions of enthusiasts around the world. Charles Leclerc so far in his career has perhaps won less than he deserved and is still trying to win that world title which is the dream of any Formula 1 driver, but in recent years he has nevertheless become an absolute point of reference for the Circus, in particular due to his very strong bond with Ferrari. Interviewed in the latest episode of the popular BSMT podcast, hosted by Gianluca Gazzoli, Leclerc spoke about his particular relationship with the redhead. The Monegasque has been with the Cavallino since he was a boy, he grew up in the Ferrari Driver Academy, has been a starter in red since 2019 and it is not excluded that he could decide to live the rest of his career with the Maranello team. A love that transcends the profession and which is decidedly unusual in today’s hyper-professional F1. The most loved team “Being in Ferrari is truly special. I was on the side of the fan who watched all the GPs on Sunday hoping that the red team would win and now I’m in the car and I receive all this support directly – said Leclerc – I still feel the same passion I had then, although now obviously, being a driver, I can’t allow myself to have certain emotions while driving. But the passion and love I have for this team is intact. This is what makes Ferrari special: it is a brand that unites all generations, from children to the elderly. Everyone dreams of the same thing: to see Ferrari at the top.” The world title, again this year, seems like a chimera with such a dominant Mercedes, but Leclerc is still committed with all his strength in trying to make the SF-26 progress: “This year the development is super important, it is fundamental. There is a lot of work to do in Maranello to develop new parts and try things on the simulator. We must all push in the same direction to bring Ferrari back to the top”, commented the Monegasque.
