KGM unveils Torres EVX, its first all-electric mid-size SUV

KGM has revealed its first fully electric mid-size SUV, confirming the Torres EVX will go on sale in Australia from 1 December 2025.

The EVX marks a key step in the brand’s wider electrification strategy, following the earlier introduction of the Musso EV. KGM says the new model delivers the practicality of a mid-size SUV with a dedicated electric powertrain and updated design language.

The Torres EVX is powered by a 152kW/339Nm front-drive electric motor paired with an 80.6kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 462km. DC fast-charging from 10–80% takes a claimed 37 minutes on a 300kW charger.

Ride and handling updates include Smart Frequency Damping shock absorbers and increased sound-insulation materials around the motor compartment and wheel arches.

A single 2WD grade will be offered initially, featuring:

  • 12.3-inch dual panoramic displays
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 3D 360-degree camera
  • Powered sunroof and powered tailgate
  • Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • LED headlights and DRLs

Standard safety features include eight airbags, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic collision assist, lane-change collision warning, high-beam assist, trailer-stability assist, electronic stability control and front and rear parking sensors.

Pricing and availability

The Torres EVX is priced at $58,000 drive-away for private buyers. Metallic paint adds $700.

The EVX is covered by a seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, with the high-voltage battery backed by a ten-year unlimited-kilometre warranty.

Vehicles will be on display at selected KGM dealerships from late November, ahead of sales beginning on 1 December 2025.
