Horner considers a return to F1 After his dismissal from Red Bull in mid-2025, Christian Horner moved away from Formula 1, but naturally the Briton, in light of his history and his palmares, does not accept leaving the scene in this way, and is planning his return. The former Red Bull team principal’s gardening leave is in any case coming to an end (it should end in the spring), so in the summer Horner will already be free to start working at another team. The most interested seems to be Alpine, but the former Red Bull wants company shares (it is in fact in the consortium that wants to acquire 24% of Otro Capital, a share on which Mercedes and the owner of the New York Mets have also set their sights) and is not satisfied with a role even with maximum responsibility on the wall. Horner’s words “Me in Alpine? There are always conjectures circulating. For the moment I’m still on break and I’m in no hurry, we’ll see when it ends”, this is his comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “Right now I’m enjoying looking at other sports.” In the meantime, the Briton was “guest of honor” at the Sprint in Jerez de la Frontera: “I’m coming as a guest of MotoGP and Liberty Media. I’ve had some time to watch other races, I’ve always been a fan of the championship and so being here is fantastic. Then I’m a fan of Marc Marquez, he’s the Verstappen of MotoGP.”
Horner: “Alpine? There’s a lot of speculation. For the moment I’m still on break from F1”
