The Ferrari driver is pessimistic Lewis Hamilton started the Silverstone weekend with Sprint pole, then in today’s race he finished in second position behind Andrea Kimi Antonelli and in Qualifying he achieved the third time which will place him tomorrow on the third row behind Antonelli and Leclerc. The Ferrari driver declared that he no longer felt as in symbiosis with the SF-26 as he did yesterday: “I didn’t feel the car as well as yesterday – said Hamilton – yesterday the balance was perfect, today however the rear was slipping away and even when braking it tended to lock up, we regressed”. Hamilton doesn’t believe he can compete with the Mercedes in the race: “I don’t want to come across as negative, but the Mercedes are significantly faster, even if we catch them in the first laps then they will disappear over the race distance.”
