Hamilton: “At Ferrari they are tireless and determined, I am proud of the path we are taking”

The seven-time world champion is ready for his home race. A year ago Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone came close to his first podium as a Ferrari driver in a GP, finishing in fourth place behind an amazing Nico Hulkenberg. This year, Hamilton comes to his home round on the strength of a truly solid start to the season which also included the great satisfaction of his first victory in red in Barcelona. On paper, the Silverstone track could prove difficult for Ferrari in light of the ‘hunger’ for energy that will be on a track where you never brake, but Hamilton is convinced that the right path has been taken in Maranello to return to the top on a permanent basis. “In motorsport there are no magic wands: everything comes from many small steps, built through months of hard work, commitment and trust on the part of all the people involved, and that’s exactly what I’m seeing in Ferrari – said Hamilton – I’m proud of this team and the journey we’re making together.
