Weekend Sprint also in Montreal F1 completes this American May with the Canadian GP. For the first time, the Montreal weekend includes the Sprint format, so the weekend will essentially follow the same development as that of Miami with the Sprint Qualifying already on Friday and the drivers fighting for points on Saturday at 6:00 pm. There is great anticipation regarding the updates that Mercedes will bring to Canada. Toto Wolff’s team has won all the races held so far with the exception of the Sprint in Florida which saw the success of Lando Norris’s McLaren. Andrea Kimi Antonelli has won the last three GPs and on the circuit named after Gilles Villeneuve a year ago he achieved his first podium in F1. The weekend in Quebec will also be decisive in defining the first tranche of the ADUO which Ferrari awaits with trepidation in order to intervene on the power unit, the real weak point for now of an SF-26 which from a mechanical and aerodynamic point of view has proven to be an excellent car. The event will be broadcast live in its entirety on Sky Sport F1 and NOW, on TV8 the Sprint starting on Saturday at 6pm will be broadcast live, a session which will be preceded by the repeat of the Sprint Qualifying scheduled for Friday at 10.30pm (live on Sky). On TV8 the Qualifying on Saturday evening at 10pm will also be broadcast live, while the Race on Sunday will be broadcast deferred at 11.30pm. On you will find the live written of all the sessions.
