Valtteri, stay calm. In recent days, various rumors have given rise to the very real possibility of Valtteri Bottas being dismissed by Cadillac due to results below expectations. His replacement would already be at home, namely test driver Colton Herta. It’s a shame that a small detail was not taken into account, namely that Herta does not yet have the Super License and therefore could not even take his colleague’s place if necessary. Team principal Graeme Lawdon was the one to clear the field of the allegations in an interview with RacingNews365: “There is not a shred of truth in all these rumours, I can say that without a shadow of a doubt. I want to be very clear: they are completely false. There is nothing true. If we look at the work that both drivers are doing, it is much more than what those of the other teams are doing, because they are both building the team and racing. Nobody knows what we ask of them session after session and race after race and on development.” Bottas remains and Herta must wait Lowdon then continued: “Some of these rumors don’t even seem to take into account the basic rules of F1. We read that we should replace Valtteri with Colton, but Colton doesn’t have enough points for the Superlicence. And this says a lot about the quality of these rumours. And there’s no truth to the rumors that Checo would like to go to another team either.”
In short, Cadillac moves forward with Bottas and Perez, fully satisfied with their contribution. Click here to add Formula Passion as your favorite source on Google Discover: you will find our content more easily!
