Continental CrossContact RX Tires Feature on Cadillac OPTIQ and Chevrolet Equinox EV Electric SUVs

Hanover, Germany, September 15, 2025. Continental has received original equipment approval from General Motors for the two models: the Cadillac OPTIQ and Chevrolet Equinox EV. Both electric SUVs will be factory-equipped with the all-weather touring tire CrossContact RX in 20- and 21-inch sizes. The tires have been specially developed for safe, quiet, and comfortable driving, even with light off-road usage and moderate snowfall.Developers at Continental have designed the CrossContact series, tires that offer excellent braking behavior and effective dynamics on dry, wet, and snowy roads. The adapted tire tread pattern and contour also ensure low rolling resistance and improved traction in different weather conditions, including light snowfall. The uniform sipe arrangement on the tread reduces rolling noise and ensures a comfortable and quiet driving style.
