Another front row for Charles As already happened in Austria, Charles Leclerc brought his Ferrari number 16 to the front row, after taking second position at the end of qualifying for the British Grand Prix.
The Monegasque showed a solid improvement in the afternoon session, after making some changes to the set-up of his SF-26, which after the Sprint he had suggested were “radical”.
When asked about it at a press conference, Leclerc downplayed it: “I won’t talk about it, but honestly they are less big than what people think.” Leclerc’s crossroads Leclerc then explained that he found himself faced with a choice, and decided to stubbornly insist on his own path: “Recently I evaluated two approaches. On the one hand there was the one where I would have to completely change my driving style, trying to reproduce what Lewis is doing because it is clearly working. On the other hand, continue to insist on my path and try to find a solution in which the car adapts a little better to my way of driving.” Charles was therefore at a crossroads: “I chose the second path, sticking to what I know has worked in the past to find a way to adapt the car, using every tool at my disposal in the car. And that’s exactly what we did.”
