ParkPay is testing whether built-in in-car payments can bridge the gap between the promise of the connected car and the daily driver experience Parkopedia is partnering with D to launch ParkPay, an in-car parking payment service on Android Automotive OS, targeting production vehicles in early 2027. Parking data and in-car payments are available from launch, with EV charging, pricing and booking functionality planned for a later update. The service will come pre-installed on the Denza Z9 GT and D Atto 3 Evo, with over-the-air updates extending coverage to older D models as well. When a vehicle detects parking behavior in a supported location, drivers receive an on-screen notification with that space pre-selected, allowing the session to begin in just a few steps. Geographic coverage includes RingGo payment integration in the UK and EasyPark availability across Europe. ParkPay is part of a broader D mobility application that combines connected car services on a single platform. Arrive Automotive and Data Manager Duncan Licence said in a statement: “We are proud to offer D our connected services to ensure D drivers can enjoy seamless in-car experiences. D is leading the industry by demonstrating the importance of supporting the latest hardware development with a robust, data-driven in-car driver experience. We look forward to continued development of the service to provide additional convenience and added value for D drivers.”
