Škoda Starts Series Production of New All-Electric Flagship Peaq in the Czech Republic

Çok Okunanlar
Škoda has started series production of its new all-electric flagship, the Peaq, at its Mladá Boleslav plant in the Czech Republic. The seven-seat Peaq, the largest and most advanced model Škoda has produced to date, is being manufactured at the same facility as the fully electric Elroq and Enyaq, as well as the combustion-engined Octavia.

Introduced in June, the Peaq has quickly attracted significant attention, while Škoda is accelerating its electric mobility offensive with the addition of the compact SUV Epiq to its lineup. The brand continued its strong performance by becoming Europe’s second-most preferred car brand in the first half of 2026.
Four Different Models on the Same Production Line
Škoda’s production line in Mladá Boleslav stands out for its flexibility, allowing models with different powertrain technologies to be manufactured at the same facility. The Enyaq became the first fully electric model to be produced on this line in 2020, followed by the Elroq in January 2025 and now the Peaq.
As a result, three fully electric models are being produced at the same factory as the Octavia Combi. This production setup allows Škoda to flexibly adjust production volumes in response to changes in market demand and developments in the global supply chain. The share of electric models in Škoda’s production also continues to increase. In the first half of 2026, fully electric models accounted for approximately 23% of the vehicles produced at the brand’s plants in the Czech Republic.
Production Line Reconfigured for the Peaq
Measuring 4.87 metres in length and featuring a wheelbase of approximately three metres, the Peaq is the largest SUV ever produced by Škoda. Various engineering upgrades were carried out at the plant to integrate the model into the existing production line.
Larger production skids were introduced to improve ergonomics and workplace safety during the manufacturing process, while a new manipulator was added for the installation of the third-row seats. Adjustments were also made to the press, body and paint shops to accommodate Peaq production.
More Than 640 Kilometres of Range
As Škoda’s new all-electric flagship, the Peaq also features the largest battery capacity ever offered in one of the brand’s electric vehicles. The 91 kWh battery produced in Mladá Boleslav provides a range of more than 640 kilometres. A 63 kWh battery option will also be available in the lineup.
The Peaq will be offered with three power outputs ranging from 150 kW to 220 kW, with customers able to choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. As the brand’s most spacious SUV, the seven-seat Peaq also introduces several technologies making their Škoda debut, including flush door handles integrated into the bodywork, a panoramic glass roof featuring Dynamic Shade Control technology, and bidirectional charging.
