There are also changes at the level of engineers in my team, some of them I have reorganized in the way they interact with the rest of the team.” But not just technical details, because Lewis Hamilton also met with president John Elkann and CEO Benedetto Vigna, as he implied between the lines: “I have realigned myself with the top management of the organization to ensure we are on the same wavelength and to be allies rather than enemies. Now the situation has definitely improved and this allows us to move forward in synergy.” Finally, Hamilton did not hide the difficulties he had in being followed by the team in 2025: “I think it’s natural that in such a difficult situation, people tend to listen to you less. ‘Why should we listen to you if you get these results?’. In short, it took a long time to build that trust that I think there is now. The things I ask for are done. And vice versa. We are really pushing ourselves and finally there is collaboration and I think this is the most important thing.”
