Vasseur: “The ADUO? Let’s see the FIA’s position in the next few days”

Anticipation at Ferrari “I honestly didn’t think we would be so competitive here in Canada,” said Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur at the end of the GP which Lewis Hamilton finished in second place. We will see the FIA’s decision in the next few days – said Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur to Sky – now we focus on Monaco which is a special circuit where we need to have a different approach”. What Ferrari is waiting for is to find out if it will be inserted beyond a 4% deficit compared to the reference power units, a threshold which if exceeded would guarantee two developments to the power unit in 2026 and the same number in 2027 as well as a substantial extra-budget to invest in the engine.
