What a struggle at the start. The Silverstone weekend for Red Bull doesn’t seem to start off in the best possible way. Max Verstappen finished today’s FP1 session – the only free practice session, being a Sprint weekend – with only the sixth best time, almost a second away from Lewis Hamilton’s best time with Ferrari. Not exactly a good sign, given that in theory this weekend should have been more favorable to the RB22 than to the SF-26. But perhaps what worried the four-time world champion and his team even more was the starting test that Verstappen carried out, like all the other drivers, after the conclusion of FP1. Max positioned himself on the pole position, but this didn’t bring him luck, on the contrary. In fact, from the on-board camera of Red Bull #3 you can see the car moving in a very slow and ‘tiring’ manner when the clutch is released; furthermore, even before starting, Verstappen was aborting a previous starting procedure. In short, many problems for one aspect, that of the start, which has been persecuting Red Bull since the beginning of the season and which does not yet seem completely resolved.
