After taking pole position in the Miami Sprint, Lando Norris actually wins the short race in Florida ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari. The Monegasque, after resisting Kimi Antonelli in the first part of the race, breaks away from the Mercedes and chases the Australian, but the SF-26 clearly lacks top speed to be treacherous when overtaking. Behind the Mercedes, the American Sprint is fired up by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, who touch each other at the start and fight with respect: the Dutchman prevails, who doesn’t have the pace to keep up with the Mercedes but enters the top-5 due to Antonelli’s penalty.
