A real interview The interview conducted by colleagues from The Race with Stefano Domenicali – president and CEO of F1 – was an interview in which credit must be given both to the journalists who asked the questions and to the manager from Imola himself, for having lent themselves to a frank dialectical comparison. A not so common exercise these days is that of asking – and allowing them to be asked – uncomfortable questions, to which honest answers are given.
And it was an interview that aroused many reactions, as one might expect, on which he also placed a magnifying glass to better understand both the direction of F1 and the profile of the average fan to whom the category is referring in this period. Are the onboards obscured? Domenicali denies One part of the back-and-forth concerned the discontent of historic fans and the “conspiracy theories about blacked-out onboards” (as called by The Race journalists) born in the first races of 2026.
This is Stefano Domenicali’s response: “Thank you for the question. People don’t have much to do honestly. Thinking that we are protecting or hiding something is absurd. This is our package, this is what we want to show to people. I want to get out of this negativity, because I don’t perceive it. Having said that, let’s all listen, you know me. I’m not shouting and I’m not closing the door by not listening to the comments. Listening to these people who evoke these types of conspiracy theories is always very important because everyone can teach us something, but obviously there must be someone who summarizes and has an overall vision to manage the situation”, commented the F1 president.
