In the first lap with used tires I tried to pick up the pace for a moment, especially after the Sprint Race, but after the first run in Q2 I I made a mistake in turn 3 partly due to the wind and the brakes which were a little cold, which didn’t respond well when I went to brake. It wasn’t the best, but I have to say in Q3 everything went right.” Attention to the Ferraris The fact remains that Antonelli managed to accomplish the mission of conquering pole position on the historic Silverstone track, but while waiting for tomorrow’s race he highlighted what the threat from the Ferraris will be, with Leclerc and Hamilton starting behind him from 2nd and 3rd place respectively: “Lewis was very fast in the Sprint, so it won’t be easy to keep up with the Ferraris – he added – I will have to make a good start, try to set a good pace straight away and at least get out of the overtake zone. it will be easy, especially if there is as much wind as today.”
