The episode in the last lap of the Miami GP The finale of the Miami GP was excited to say the least. Charles Leclerc spun in Turn 3 in an attempt to catch Oscar Piastri’s McLaren in what was the fight for the podium. The Ferrari driver damaged his SF-26 and went around the lap cutting several corners, conduct which led to a 20-second penalty which dropped him from sixth to eighth place finish. On the last long straight leading to the braking section at Turn 17, Leclerc was overtaken by George Russell. The Monegasque tried to extend his braking and hit the left rear of the Mercedes driver with his front right.
