The collision ended his race and the problem forced us to retire, which is obviously frustrating. I went straight to Pierre after the race to apologize and I’m glad he’s okay, which is the most important. We had a great start and gained a lot of positions, so it’s a shame that the race ended like this. I struggled in the first stint, the pace with the medium tires wasn’t enough and I had very little grip. As soon as I switched to the hard tyres, I felt more comfortable, the car was easier to drive and the pace has definitely improved. We will carefully analyze everything that happened this weekend, I will continue to work on my part and learn. The team did a great job this weekend, managing to make the most of some difficult situations. Overall, I’m really enjoying driving the car and I’m looking forward to another new track.”
