In fact, the Grove team can count on a solid structure and two reliable drivers – Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon – capable of obtaining results even in difficult conditions. The Spaniard is also a specialist in involving the team, motivating and guiding it, increasing everyone’s performance and therefore obtaining a more competitive car. At Renault, McLaren and Ferrari, Smooth Operator made himself loved with an always professional and methodical approach, leaving these teams in better conditions than when he arrived. Now with Williams the challenge is more difficult, but wall boss James Vowles has no doubts about the ability of the Grove team to recover, also thanks to the leadership of the #55. Vowles’ words “As much as Carlos doesn’t want to admit it, I would gladly entrust him with my place. He’s really fantastic, and he’s very good at leading the team. I think he has everything it takes to be team principal, without a doubt. We have to give him some support, but he has all the skills to make it”, these are Vowles’ words. In the first three GPs Sainz was the only one to bring points to Williams. Currently the FW48 is the ninth force on the track, but Albon is convinced that with the Miami updates the main problem of the car will be solved, namely the over 20 kg in excess.
