Subaru wins back-to-back Major Car Manufacturer of the year at Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards

Subaru has been named Major Car Manufacturer of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 2025 Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards – one of Australia’s most rigorous and respected measures of customer satisfaction.

The Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards are widely regarded as the gold standard in Australian consumer research. Based on the Roy Morgan Single Source survey — the largest continuous consumer study of its kind in the country — the awards draw on ratings of over 60,000 Australians each year. Australia’s most well-known companies compete across 40 categories, with monthly satisfaction winners recorded throughout the year and the annual award going to the company with the most monthly wins. It is a measure of sustained performance, rather than a single moment of standout delivery.

Between 2021-2025 Subaru Australia has earned a total of 30 monthly satisfaction awards, which is more than twice as many as the brand in second place.

Subaru Australia’s General Manager, Scott Lawrence, expressed his pride in the achievement, commenting: “Being named Roy Morgan’s Major Car Manufacturer of the Year for the second consecutive year gives us immense pride – but it’s also quite humbling. In a market where customers have never had more choice, this kind of recognition means a great deal to everyone at Subaru Australia and our Retailer network.

“It starts with the engineering excellence that goes into every vehicle built, complemented by the genuine care our Retailer network brings to every customer interaction. I want to personally thank our Retailers for their tireless dedication, and our customers for continuing to place their trust in us. To have that recognised by Roy Morgan two years in a row is a tremendous honour, and it reinforces our determination to keep delivering the experience our customers deserve.”

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine congratulated Subaru on winning a second straight Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award for Major Car Manufacturer of the Year.

“Subaru has won a second straight Major Car Manufacturer of the Year Award at the Annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards – a third victory overall in the category following wins for 2021 and 2024. The Japanese headquartered car manufacturer won eight out of twelve monthly satisfaction awards in 2025 with an average customer satisfaction during the year of an exceptional 93.7% to secure the victory ahead of Korean competitor Kia, with four monthly wins.
