The Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) has appointed Adele Coswello, Chief Customer Officer of mycar Tyre & Auto, to its board following the organisation’s 45th Annual General Meeting.
Coswello was officially announced as a director during the AGM held on 21 October 2025 at the PARKROYAL Hotel in Clayton, Melbourne.
The new director brings extensive experience in finance, retail and customer experience across leading Australian and global brands. Since joining mycar, she has played a key role in transforming the business from Kmart Tyre & Auto Service and driving its People First strategy, redefining customer experience across in-store, online and mobile channels.
“We are delighted to welcome Adele to the AAAA Board,” AAAA chief executive Stuart Charity says. “Her strategic and customer-focused leadership will complement the strong mix of skills and experience already on the Board, helping us continue to deliver value for our members and strengthen the future of our industry.”
Board stability maintained
Five existing directors were re-elected to serve three-year terms, providing board stability and reflecting strong member endorsement of the association’s current leadership and direction.
Mark Pedder from Pedders Suspension, Craig Baills from Highfields Mechanical, Colette Kirby from Logicar, Graeme Whickman from Amotiv and Peter Rogers from Repco Authorised Service were all returned to their positions.
The AAAA also acknowledged the departure of April Harwood from JAX Tyres & Auto, who chose not to renominate due to work commitments. The association thanked Harwood for her outstanding contribution to the board and ongoing support over the past three years.
Charity says Coswello’s strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of customer needs will bring valuable insight to the board as the industry continues to evolve through new technologies, mobility trends and customer expectations.
The AAAA says it looks forward to continuing its success in advocating for the industry, drawing on the depth of experience and strategic insight of its board to strengthen outcomes for members and the broader automotive sector.
