Posthumous drive-through 20 second penalty: this is the Stewards’ decision regarding Charles Leclerc’s repeated course cuts during the last lap. The Ferrari driver spun in Turn-3 and hit the barriers, damaging his SF-26. Leclerc restarted and finished the race in sixth position battling with Russell and Verstappen. The sanction – a ‘posthumous’ drive-through – relegates Leclerc to eighth place, Lewis Hamilton rises to sixth place and Franco Colapinto to seventh. Now Leclerc is -41 behind Andrea Kimi Antonelli in the drivers’ standings.
