…and clarification outside
Immediately after the race, via his Instagram profile, Ocon publicly apologized to his colleague: “First of all, I’m very sorry for Franco: I take full responsibility for what happened and I’m happy that he managed to score some points, as he had an excellent race – wrote Ocon – there are many aspects to analyze after today. We had a great start, but we were unlucky with the intervention of the safety car, which compromised our strategy. We will continue to give our best and I am sure that the results will come“.
Under the same post first the Alpine team and then Colapinto himself they appreciated Ocon’s gesture and accepted his apology: “Thanks for the nice message, Esteban – replied the Enstone team – today there were many beautiful challenges with you. We look forward to continuing this in Japan.”. “It’s okay, buddy!! Thanks for the apologies, see you soon“, Colapinto’s conciliatory response.
