According to the World Health Organization data, approximately 1.19 million people die in traffic accidents in the world every year. The number of people who lost their lives at the accident scene in Türkiye in the first half of 2025 was announced as 1,125. Considering that each number represents a life, we carry out all our activities without any safety violations and “We are working to achieve this without causing any accidents. As Shell Türkiye, our first priority in our activities has always been safety, and with this understanding, we are strengthening this culture with the Road Safety Conference that we have been organizing continuously for 16 years.”
Ahmet Erdem continued his words as follows: “As Shell Turkey, we covered 55 million km with more than 500 professional drivers in 2025. While compliance with the rules increased with the measures we took and the training our drivers received, we also reduced the number of violations. We aimed to minimize risky behaviors such as speed violations and phone use by closely monitoring them with in-car technologies and regular training. Our vision of Target Zero – Zero Accidents, Zero Injuries is at the center of every decision. Road safety is not only an operational goal, but a responsibility for society. With this awareness, we continue to reach people of all ages with our education programs and awareness projects.”
Shell & Turcas CEO Emre Turanlı gave the following messages in his speech: “There is intense both vehicle and pedestrian traffic in our 1200 stations across Turkey. Road safety is an issue we always prioritize in both our transportation and station areas.
